Walford Nelson, ca. 1941-1962
Walford Nelson was a Gonzaga University alumni and Glee Club member. He also was part of the men's quartet for five years. When Lyle Moore was granted a leave of absence at Gonzaga to serve as a flying instructor during World War II, Nelson carried on the Glee Club as director. In 1956, Nelson officially joined the Gonzaga Music Department staff. After working in the Gonzaga Muisc Department, Nelson managed the Gonzaga bookstore for several years.
